First Baptist Church of University Place

FBUP understands that the “church” is not a building nor is it a meeting.  The church is the people.  The people (the church) of FBUP are believers and followers of Jesus Christ.  No, we are not perfect.  Yes, we understand we can be hypocritical, but we are working on that.  When will we finish with our imperfection?...not until we see Jesus.  To help ourselves to be more like Christ, we focus ourselves with four words:  Honor, Love, Learn and Live.  We seek to honor God with our lives.  We are called to love our neighbors – for how can we say we love God and hate those about us?  We are to be life-long learners.  We love to study the Bible, theology, and how to apply it all.  Finally, we know that it is not enough know.  We are called to live our faith.
