Every Little Spring

Playing favorites at church. It's a problem that touched the church in the early days and still pops up in the 21st century. It's an ancient problem that the church must constantly address.

The Way of Wisdom

What does a wise person really look like? Then again, what is “wisdom”? Is it looking the part or perhaps just being really, really smart? James describes wisdom as a concept with two parts. Christ’s followers are not to simply be academics sponges, but are to be workers in the trenches of life.

Mini-Review of "The Shack"

Submitted by Pastor Stacey M... on Wed, 07/02/2008 - 15:03

Book stores and on-line merchandisers such as Christianbook.com have a best seller on their hands entitled "The Shack." I happened to get a copy of William Young's book from a relative the other day and decided to give it a read. The book is a story about a man named “Mack” who tragically loses his daughter and then finds evidence that she has been murdered in Eastern Oregon. This tragedy sets up the main purpose of the book which is to discuss the nature of God and the problem of evil and forgiveness.
